What are the requirements to obtain a PE (Professional Engineer) License in New York state?

I have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and am now looking to obtain my PE license in mechanical engineering. What are the requirements in New York state for obtaining this? For example, I would like to know the amount of experience required, how much of it has to be under someone with a PE license, and any other information you may know.
