How and why did Japan adapt so quickly to Captalism and American ways of life after WWII?

is it true that Japan very quickly became "Westernized" after WWII?

why and how this was the case for them more so than other countries, for example in Germany..where they had been trying for over a century to get them to become "modernized"?

please explain what you can too about why Japan took over techonology industries after WWII?
